Why I started my blog

Hey everyone!

I asked a while ago on my Instagram stories if you guys would be interested in knowing why I started this blog. I was quite surprised with the amount of people that were interested. I kept putting it off and never sitting down to write it.

Why do I blog?

It first started out as an idea when I completed my course to become a wedding consultant. I had made a site for all things weddings, i.e ; tips and tricks, inspiration and advice. I soon realized that I didn’t want to only write about weddings, but I wanted to expand my writing and make a lifestyle blog and here we are folks!

As a stay at home mom it’s pretty easy to get a little bored (when your kids are newborns to one years old) I knew I needed a hobby but I didn’t want to join any mom groups, not my cup of tea.

I love blogging! I love sitting down and writing or having an idea and putting it to paper. I love showing my favourite recipes and even making up some of my own! I think that we all need to escape some times, for some people it’s hiking or fishing or even shopping. For me, it’s having an idea or a plan and grabbing some hot tea and typing away. It keeps me busy, as if a one-year-old isn’t enough.

Where do I hope to be in 5-10 years with my blog?

I write my blog in hopes to one day having a larger audience and maybe even making some money off of it! As of now I haven’t made any money but I love writing as a hobby and I hope to one day see it blossom into something amazing!

  1. I think blogging is very freeing, esp. if you have an audience. It can be a form of self-care. I am blogging to help moms find purpose and for some blogging is apart of that so I try to speak to how to build a blog, as well as a business, so we can continue to be available for our kids. So you keep going. You are at the beginning of your journey and it’s just the right time to start.

  2. I’m a stay at home mom to and have been now for 7 years! Decided to become one after having my second. I too find blogging as a way to express my creativity 🙂 great post and can’t wait to read more.
