Looking for a cute homemade ornament to hang on the tree? This year I made some small salt dough ornaments with Bens help!
- 1 cup salt
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup water
Preheat oven to 200 degrees
Add all into a small bowl, mix and knead until the dough is smooth, not grainy.
If the dough is too sticky, add a tiny bit more flour and if it is too crumbly, add water!
Roll out dough onto a lightly floured surface and cut into your preferred shape. We made some with handprints and finger prints!
If you’re using them as ornaments, take a straw and poke a hole at the top for the ribbon.
Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, so they don’t stick. Put into oven for 3 hours.
Once done, you can either paint or leave plain
These make some super cute Christmas ornaments and even a thoughtful gift for the grandparents!
Happy holidays everyone!
